TK BAND - GOLD WITH HONOURS!!

WE ROCK WE ROCK WE ROCK!
TK BAND HAS ACHIEVED GOLD WITH HONOURS for the 2006 SYF Central Judging Competition Secondary School Military Bands. AAAAAaaaaah!! Soooo happeeee!!

I remember going to school feeling abit excited... but it was only when the bus entered the stadium grounds when butterflies started fluttering in my stomach. The sight of other bands...It was all so interesting to see how other bands hentak kaki and march and play.

"Ready to strike up, is the band from Tanjong Katong Secondary School!"

The sec ones and twos from TK wre screaming their arses off, watching us perform. I love the feeling, knowing that they're cheering for us.

Anyways, watched Deyi Band perform before we went to rest while waiting for other bands to play. I must admit, they are rather creative people, to march backwards.

Then came the time for the results to be announced. we waited so long for the results to be announced, standing in sedia position... So us french horns chatted abit... Laughed alot, regardless of what the outcome may be. Didn't really expect to get gold-with-honours. We laughed at two insane girls in purple skirts dancing like loons near the grandstand. hahahha

"Tanjong Katong Secondary School.... Gold with honours!"

I screamed and screamed and screamed in "sedia" position, tears streaking down my cheeks. I was damn ecstatic man. Then we stood in "sedia" position until the end of the results for the toher bands... And we saw Deyi in fron of us "rehatkan diri" and start hugging one another. Then we followed suit and I hugged around my section happily.

Then we were given instructions to run to where our school was sitting at, and perform for them. I cried a second time then when hugging Phat. Hahaha.

Then the whole thhing was over. More hugs and cheers and screams... And when our section was making our way to the busses, we passed by a Deyi French Horn malay guy. I think he's a sec three or sec four. He was holding his horn and waved to us and said "Bye hornies!" and smiled. I returned his smile cos we shared a common liking, and that is the horn!

Took the bus back to school, kept our instruments, listened to Mr Muzammil's speech in the auditorium and finally Zhen2, Michelle and I went to...CHALET!!!

The rest arrived later while we bathed at the chalet. And I was still in the toilet when the rest of the horns arrived. They started banging on the toilet door. Haha and we were like screaming and screaming and laughing and dancing and fooh it was fun.

PLayed truth or dare. Damn fun. And then played the fainting game. Marc and Peggy demonstrated it. It was damn damn daaaamn freaky. And then played murderer. And phat and I felt like slping. In murderer game u're supposed to close ur eyes. I did, and I dozed off while in the midst of the game. Haha. I slept for abt half an hour and woke up again. Tracy was teasing me about some msges she saw in my phone and we had some nice laughs. I was finally awake again and the lot of us played card games till who noes what time and slept.

The next morning (this morning) we went to McD to have breakfast and then we played more card games back at the chalet and we finally packed up to leave. All in all it had been a great weekend for me.

Now that comp's over, there's no excuse for not completeing my hw. damn.
